Welcome To my “Ensemble Lab” Pay along contest!
I have been able to bring this opportunity to you all with the enormous support from all the great people at Coast music, Sonor Canada, and The Dream Cymbal Company. They have definitely been my drumming co-conspirators for many years and they are now spreading a little more love your way.
You’re probably wondering why I refer to an ” Ensemble Lab” in the title of the contest. The Ensemble Lab is one of the units in my new online educational video series for the drumset. I have always felt that anyone who is a great drummer has to investigate music and the drums in both an artistic and scientific state of mind. One has to join the tenacity, and analytical logic of science with passion and beauty of art when one commits to this musical art form. Therefore I see all of us drum nerds existing in what I consider to be a “Drum Lab”.
I have eight drumless tracks in the” Ensemble Lab” in the Aubrey Drum Lessons program of various styles to work with. We’re going to consider justs three of them for this contest. All three are challenging for different reasons and I know that there are three of you who are going to play the crap out of them! You only need to play one of them to enter but if you can submit more then have at it!
Approach playing along with these as though you are playing a show or recording something that will be published and distributed. The judges and I are looking for the best musicians as well as drummers. Put the music first and make us feel your drumming as well!

Contest Details
NO PURCHASE OR ENROLLMENT TO AUBRYDRUMLESSONS NECESSARY: The contest is open to legal residents of the mainland United States and Canada with no age restrictions.
The Following are not eligible: Any drummer who is an endorsee of a drum or Cymbal company. Winning contestants must have a mailing address (PO Boxes are OK)
HOW TO ENTER:
Fill out the form below to enter and then follow the simple instructions. When you see the three play-along pieces before you click on the song button(s) to view the appropriate video footage as well as download all charts and transcriptions.
Record yourself performing the piece, or pieces, that you feel most comfortable with. You can do either a video or audio recording. Please note that the recording does not have to be sophisticated. Your performance will be judged, not the recording. However, the sound of your performance must be clear and without distortion. Send the recording to aubrey@aubreydrumlessons.com via Wetransfer.com.
HOW YOU WIN:
The contest will end at 11:59 on June 16, 2018. All submissions will be judged by Aubrey Dayle and 3 other expert professional drummers and instrumentalists. The submission that best demonstrates a command of tempo, musicality, artistry, and technique will win in each category. The winner will be announced on July 1, 2018.

The available prizes are divided into three categories.
The winners of all three categories will receive 6 months of access to all of the Aubrey Drum Lessons Lab units.

WINNERS:
The Winners will be contacted by email and the prizes will be sent to them within three days of their reply and confirmation to accept the prize. The winners will provide a mailing address when they reply as well.
